Numa was a male Timber wolf, who came from Jim Wuepper's pack in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Jim Wuepper had raised a captive wolf pack for a number of years, but eventually needed to find his wolves new homes. Three of his wolves, Numa, Leda, and Brigit, came to live at Wolf Hollow permanently while his remaining wolves went to the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre to start the pack there.

Numa lived with Tundra, Taiga, and his sister Leda in the large wolf enclosure. Numa had lost a front leg, but managed very well with three limbs.
