Wolf Hollow sanctuary continued to operate for many years, seeing thousands of visitors and providing a place for R.D. Lawrence to complete and publish 10 more books. In 2003, R.D. Lawrence passed away peacefully at the age of 82, leaving another 7 works unfinished. Wolf Hollow was later sold, but remains a fond memory for the friends, family, and fans of R.D. and Sharon Lawrence.

This tapestry, woven from the underfur of some of the Wolf Hollow wolves, was commissioned from local textile artist, Wendy E. Bateman, and hung in the wolf room at Wolf Hollow as a physical remembrance of the wolves that both inspired and help create the sanctuary known as Wolf Hollow.
