John B. Anderson's general store, South side of Highland Street, late 19th century. The building was later extensively renovated and much enlarged by the early 20th century. Originally owned and operated by the Anderson family, it later passed on to the Austin clan. A well-stocked and well-patronised establishment, it operated until closing out in the mid-1930s.
