Dorset Heritage MuseumThe crossroads of Muskoka and Haliburton, featuring exhibits of the native peoples, early pioneer life, settlers of the Dorset area, and a great photo collection. Come and talk a walk through the spring tapping for “liquid gold”, the general stores, the local school house, and the churches. Learn about traditional logging practices, transportation, canoe making, wartime memories, home life, wildlife and area summer camps, all under one roof! The Museum is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers committed to the preservation and presentation of local history. All artifacts are lovingly donated by the community; each piece researched, preserved and displayed for your education and enjoyment.
